Azul, Miami

22 Sep

Located at the Mandarin Oriental and living up to it’s expectations. This place is amazing, the drinks are amazing, the decor is amazing and the views to the Biscayne Bay and Miami’s skyline it’s jaw dropping.

Fluke sashimi, concord grape ponzu, shiso and crispy noodles.
Paired with: 2008 Cape Mentelle Sauvignon blanc/Semillon – Margaret River, Australia

Seared corvina, curry braised pork belly, lobster emulsion and heart of palm = I would have this as my last supper.
Paired with: 2000 Simard, Cabernet Franc/Merlot – St.Emilton, Bordeaux, France.

Vanilla bean semifredo, red berry sorbet, pistachio pan de gene crouton.

Manjarie chocolate cream, mascarpone maple sabayon, pear-apple sorbet.

Passion fruit-greek yogurt ice cream, honey meringue, black mission figs = to die for
Paired with: 2009 Braida, Piedmont, Italy

BEST restaurant I’ve been to in Miami.

Rosa Mexicano

1 Sep

My favorite Mexican joint, even if it is a lot pricier than El Torero, it’s worth it ’cause you actually for once what you went to eat: MEXICAN food, not melted cheddar cheese with guacamole and sour cream. Salud!

NMichelada and pomegranate margarita (strong!)

Guacamole En Molcajete: Dopest guacamole in town, no joke

Pasilla chile soup with grilled chicken, avocado, shredded cheese, crema and crispy tortilla strips = 10/10

Roasted bone marrow with garlic toast and chipotle-piloncillo sauce. So good you could cry.

Pomegranate margarita number two. Hail Rosa!
